Mindy Kaling (de son vrai nom Vera Mindy Chokalingam) est une actrice, scénariste et productrice américaine, d'origine indienne, née le 24 juin 1979 à Cambridge (Massachusetts). Elle est principalement connue pour son travail sur la série The Office (2005-2013) sur laquelle elle a été co-scénariste et co-productrice tout en y interprétant le rôle de Kelly Kapoor.
Kaling wurde als Vera Mindy Chokalingam als Tochter eines tamilischen Architekten und einer bengalischen Gynäkologin, [1] beide aus Indien stammend, [2] geboren. Ihren Schulabschluss erlangte Kaling an der Buckingham Browne & Nichols, einer Privatschule in Cambridge. In den folgenden Jahren besuchte sie das Dartmouth College.
