Mina Stinson Crandon died in her sleep on November 1, 1941. Although she was said to have spent her final years unhappy and disillusioned, tending to her husband during a long convalescence, then succumbing herself to illness, her supporters never ceased to remind her that her fame as a medium was known throughout the world.

14 de nov. de 2022 · In the mid-1920s, a transatlantic team of physicians, surgeons, psychologists, and physicists gathered in the Boston séance room of the medium Mina ’Margery’ Crandon to study the extraordinary phenomena she produced in a trance state, especially the visceral, quasi-biological ‘ectoplasm’ that seemed to ooze from her body.
Houdini insisted that Scientific American publish an expose of Mina Crandon, but the editors held off. He then published a 40-page pamphlet, Houdini Exposes the tricks used by the Boston Medium “Margery” to win the $2500 prize offered by the Scientific American. He also took to exposing Mina Crandon’s tricks during his stage show.
30 de ago. de 2020 · Mina Crandon put herself in a dangerous state of health when she allowed investigators to take these pictures. Ectoplasm (ectoplasmic voicebox) exuded from Mina Crandon´s ear. Ectoplasm exuded from Mina Crandon´s Solar Plexus, in the process of materialising a spirit hand trying to make a fingerprint.
