Mitch Mitchel fue un influyente baterista de entre finales de los años 60 y comienzo de los años 70. Se consagró por su trabajo en canciones como Manic Depression y Third Stone From the Sun. Mitch fue muy influido por el jazz y fue fuertemente inspirado por su labor con Elvin Jones.
In 1999, Mitchell was part of the Gypsy Sun Experience, along with former Hendrix bassist Billy Cox and guitarist Gary Serkin. He also appeared on Bruce Cameron's album Midnight Daydream that included Billy Cox, Buddy Miles and Jack Bruce.

15 de abr. de 2017 · He also appeared with Cox, Buddy Miles and Jack Bruce on unknown guitarist Bruce Cameron’s album called “Midnight Daydream”. In 2008 he spent his final days commemorating Hendrix’s music on the ‘Experience Hendrix Tour’ which carried out an 18-city circuit of the US which finished in Portland, Oregon.
