Michael Slaven (born 4 December 1961) is a session guitarist and record producer from Glasgow, Scotland. A former gardener at the University of Glasgow, Slaven became the guitarist for Bourgie Bourgie in the 1980s, and was briefly a member of Del Amitri.

Mick has co written with several of the artists he has recorded for, and often writes for his own band, The Leopards, comprising himself on guitar, bass player Campbell Owens and drummer Jim McDermott.(The whole group is often hired by solo artists, notably Lloyd Cole, Vic Godard, James Kirk).
