Michael Rolfe Gira (19 de febrero de 1954) es un cantautor, multi-instrumentista, autor y artista estadounidense. Michael Rolfe Gira ( / dʒəˈrɑː /; [6] born February 19, 1954) is an American singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, author and artist. Now based in New Mexico, [7] [8] he founded the band Swans, in which he sings and plays guitar, in New York City in the 1980s at the height of the no wave movement.
YOUNG GOD RECORDS is the label run by Michael Gira, the founder and leader of the influential experimental rock band Swans. The label showcases Gira's solo and collaborative projects, such as Angels of Light, The Body, and Drainland, as well as other artists like Devendra Banhart and Lisa Germano.
