David Coverdale announced on Sunday (21st November) that Whitesnake and Michael Devin had gone their separate ways after 11 years and three studio albums.

Michael Devin, formerly of Lynch Mob, was revealed as the band's new bassist the following August. In September, Timothy Drury announced his departure to pursue a solo career. Forevermore, Whitesnake's eleventh studio album, was released on 25 March 2011 in Europe, followed by a North American release on 29 March.
