Marvin Louis Stamm (born May 23, 1939) [1] is an American jazz trumpeter. Career. Stamm was born in Memphis, Tennessee, United States. [1] . Stamm began on trumpet at age twelve. He attended North Texas State University, [1] where he was a member of the One O'Clock Lab Band.

Stamm and Mays recently formed and are touring with a new group, the Inventions Trio, which includes cellist Alisa Horn. Stamm performs with symphony orchestras throughout the country and maintains his ties with the George Gruntz Concert Jazz Band.
