Max Schmeling BARRETT. 1937. 1997. Born in Penzance, the son of Cornish boxer Tommy Barrett, he was himself an amateur boxer for a period before taking up sculpture in 1972. His occupations as a steeplejack and steel erector influenced him strongly in relation to structures, and he believed in the spirit of the materials with which he worked.
Max Barrett. Managing Director, Investment Banking Houston. Max Barrett serves as a Managing Director in Investment Banking. Prior to rejoining TPH & Co., Barrett was an associate at White Deer Energy. Before that, Barrett served as an analyst, then associate with TPH & Co. in the equity research division covering the oilfield services sector.
Max Barrett is a freelance bassist and Music Teacher based in Brooklyn. Max has a long background in classical, jazz, pop, rock, and bluegrass bass performance. Growing up in Northern Virginia, he began public performance on upright bass at the age of 9. Max holds a Bachelors of Music in Jazz Studies from James Madison University.
Max Barrett started life as the wild boy of Penzance and ended as the wild man of sculpting. For the past 25 years Barrett worked in a variety of media, from the granite he found in the hills and quarries around his Cornish home to alabaster, slate, wood (including driftwood) and coal. He cut the sculpture Meeting Place, which now stands outside Sainsbury's in Truro, from a 10- ton granite block.

Rosemary Breen is the sister of the late Roger Keith ‘Syd’ Barrett, founding member of Pink Floyd. Rosemary was the youngest sibling of 5 and grew up in Cambridge, England.
