Matthew James Baker MBE (born 23 December 1977) is a British television presenter. He co-presented the children's television show Blue Peter from 1999 until 2006, BBC One 's Countryfile since 2009 and The One Show from 2011 to 2020, with Alex Jones .

Matt Baker was born on 23 December 1977 in Easington, County Durham, England, UK. He is a producer and actor, known for Doctor Who (2005), Blue Peter (1958) and The Itch of the Golden Nit (2011). He has been married to Nicola Mooney since 16 July 2004. They have two children.
