CV. 私たちは一卵性双生児で、20年に渡り＇スケール＇、特に‘縮小’を主題として共に制作してきた。 作品では、スケールを操作しながら身近な物や環境を変容させている。 現実感を残しながらもまるでファンタジーのような世界を、立体、写真、サイトスペシフィック等、さまざまな媒体を駆使して表現している。 例えばトランプは刺繍が施され絨毯になり、軽石は洗面器の中で凱旋門と化す。 また人工と自然、ささやかさと壮大さ、日常と非日常、工芸と美術、それぞれの要素が調和している。 それは人々の拠り所となる価値や尺度を揺るがす。 そうした相対的な視点は、世界の見方を変えるきっかけになると、私たちは信じている。
