Mary D'Nellon: Played percussion with the Virgin Prunes from 1981 to 1984. 1. How did you get into the Virgin Prunes? What you were doing before joining the band? I saw Virgin Prunes supporting the Clash when I was 16 and I thought they were amazing – especially for a town like Dublin.
Mary D'Nellon. Played percussion with the Virgin Prunes from 1981 to '84, then guitar from 1984 to '86. After Gavin Friday left the group in 1986 Mary continued playing with Strongman and Busaras as The Prunes (2). Mary now works and lives in France.
