Martin John Rees OM (York, Reino Unido, 23 de junio de 1942), es un astrónomo británico. Ha sido rector (Master) del Trinity College, Cambridge (2004-2012) y presidente de la Real Sociedad de Londres (2005-2010). [1] Obtuvo su doctorado por la Universidad de Cambridge en 1967.
Martin John Rees, Baron Rees of Ludlow, OM, FRS, HonFREng, FMedSci, FRAS, HonFInstP (born 23 June 1942) is a British cosmologist and astrophysicist. He is the fifteenth Astronomer Royal, appointed in 1995, and was Master of Trinity College, Cambridge, from 2004 to 2012 and President of the Royal Society between 2005 and 2010.
Martin Rees is a Fellow of Trinity College and Emeritus Professor of Cosmology and Astrophysics at the University of Cambridge. He holds the honorary title of Astronomer Royal and also Visiting Professor at Imperial College London and at Leicester University.
