Martin John Kemp FBA (born 5 March 1942) is a British art historian and exhibition curator who is one of the world's leading authorities on the life and works of Leonardo da Vinci. The author of many books on Leonardo, Kemp has also written about visualisation in art and science, particularly anatomy, natural sciences and optics.
Martin John Kemp (born 10 October 1961) is an English actor, musician, and occasional television presenter, best known as the bassist in the New Romantic band Spandau Ballet, as well as Steve Owen from the BBC soap opera EastEnders. He is the brother of Gary Kemp.

As the leading Leonardo da Vinci scholar, Kemp’s work has stressed the work of the artist as a modeller and empirical investigator of the world. Professor Kemp has been Emeritus Professor of the History of Art since 2008.

Martin Kemp has played and taught jazz and classical music for many years in East Anglia, as well as composing and arranging.His main instruments are clarinet (including bass clarinet and basset horn) and saxophone. Martin currently plays in or leads various bands, orchestras and ensembles, providing live jazz music in different styles
