Marcel Boussac (17 April 1889 – 21 March 1980) was a French entrepreneur best known for his ownership of the Maison Dior and one of the most successful thoroughbred race horse breeding farms in European history. Born in Châteauroux, Indre, France, Boussac made a fortune in textile manufacturing.

À la veille de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Boussac est à la tête de la première entreprise textile de France. Tout lui réussit. À ses victoires industrielles s'ajoutent ses triomphes sur les champs de course. En 1919, il déclare ses couleurs : casaque orange, toque grise.
Marcel Boussac was a textile magnate, financier and owner of thoroughbred racehorses in the 20th century. He founded couture house Christian Dior and produced over a fifth of the country's cotton output. He also romanced Belgian opera singer Fanny Heldy and produced over a fifth of the country's cotton output. He was bankrupt at the time of his death in 1980.
The greatest French breeder of thoroughbreds of the twentieth century and perhaps of all time was Marcel Boussac. His Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard in Normandy was the nursery of many champions, foundation broodmares, and leading sires with global influence. Boussac's business fortune fueled a racing dynasty, but the story didn't have a happy ending.
