The Del-Lords are an American rock and roll band that formed in New York City, United States, in 1982, founded by The Dictators' guitarist Scott Kempner.The band combined elements of 1960s garage rock with country, blues and folk influences to become one of the early originators of urban, roots-rock. The band members were Scott Kempner, Manny Caiati, Eric Ambel and Frank Funaro.
Manny Caiati Needs Our Help. Sherrie Travers is organizing this fundraiser on behalf of Jennifer Mullenax. Manny Caiati has been one of our very dear friends and colleagues for many years. Manny was hospitalized in late November suffering from COVID-19, and is in extremely serious condition in a local hospital.
We reconnected by chance after I had been bounced out of Joan Jett’s Blackhearts and I found myself at The Music Building on 8th Avenue in Manhattan with Scott, Manny Caiati and Frank Funaro. We quickly became a band focused on playing and singing the tunes Scott had written for us.
