Together with David Williams, Etzioni co-wrote "Can't Cry Hard Enough" which became his most successful song. Solo recordings. In the 1990s, Etzioni recorded and released three albums: The Mandolin Man (1991), Bone (1992) and Weapons of the Spirit (1994).
Judy Collins, Victoria Williams Buddy and Julie Miller, Tom Freund and many others all recorded it. It also was used – and to poignantly powerful effect – on videos in tribute of those lost on 9-11 (which went viral) as well in other memorial videos and protest videos, including one for animal rights and one in memory of Michael Jackson.
