Many of us have played it x2309485 times, but have any of us stopped to analyze the Bottom of the Well, and parts of the Shadow Temple? If you remember navigating through the Shadow Temple, you may remember this dialogue box popping up a lot:
“The Man In the Well” is a short story by Ira Sher about kids who discover a man trapped in a well. He asks for help but they tacitly agree that they’re not going to do anything to get him out. Despite this, they continue going back to the well to check on him, talk to him, and bring him some water and food.
There's a man in the bottom of the well He's looking up at me with eyes so wide and deep I wonder is he always there, does he ever sleep I spend my time thinking about the tale he's got to tell There's a man in the bottom of the well Don't go there for water You might walk away as dry as dust and bone Or you might see your mother's son or daughter
