Biografi. Maggie Smith är dotter till Nathaniel Smith från Newcastle, och skotskfödda Margaret Hutton Little. Fadern var patolog och verksam vid Oxfords universitet.Smith växte upp i Oxford och studerade teater vid Oxford Playhouse School..
