Macula Transfer is the third solo album released by Tangerine Dream leader Edgar Froese, in 1976. [1] Description. The tracks were composed on plane flights while Tangerine Dream was touring; each track is named after the flight number of an airplane. The original album was released on Brain Records, and has not officially been released on CD.

Edgar Froese's third solo album, Macula Transfer (the title referring to the sun spots), was recorded just before Tangerine Dream's Stratosfear in summer 1976 by Edgar Froese just on his own using an old 4-track Ampex tape machine that Tangerine Dream had bought from Abbey Road Studios.
