  2. Luther Tucker (May 7, 1802 in Brandon, Vermont – January 26, 1873 in Albany, New York) was a publisher of farm journals in Rochester and Albany, New York. Tucker started Genesee Farmer (January 1, 1831), acquired The Cultivator (January 1840), and later started Country Gentleman (November 4, 1852).

  3. Biography. Luther Tucker was a consummate blues guitarist with impeccable credentials. His early apprenticeship was under Big Bill Broonzy and Robert Jr. Lockwood. His recordings as session man at Chess Studios led to his eight year stint with Little Walter. That was just the beginning. Tucker was born in Memphis, Tennessee on January 20, 1936.

While soft spoken and shy, Tucker made his presence known through his unique and clearly recognizable guitar style. Tucker helped to define the music known as Chicago Blues, but played everything from blues to soul, rock, jazz and gospel, when given the chance.
