Lucian Freud, né le 8 décembre 1922 à Berlin et mort le 20 juillet 2011 à Londres, est un peintre et graveur figuratif britannique d'origine allemande. Il est considéré comme un des peintres figuratifs les plus importants du XX e et du XXI e siècle, l'« Ingres de l' existentialisme » selon la formule de l'historien de l'art, Herbert Read.
