  5. The fact of the matter is, Love, Honour and Obey is not (and isn't trying to be) Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. It's a comedy about gangsters, and in that respect it works.

  6. Love, Honour and Obey. Ray runs North London's most powerful criminal gang, and his nephew Jude is a polished and successful member. Jude's boyhood friend Jonny comes to Jude with an idea he wants to pitch to Ray. Jonny wants violence, so he repeatedly tries to start trouble with the South London equivalent of Ray's gang. Will he succeed?

  7. Jude Law looks tanned and dodgy. Sean Pertwee is very cool, belting out the theme tune to "Fireball XL5" on the karaoke. But I couldn't get away from the feeling that this film was just made for a laugh by a bunch of people who fancied farting about playing at gangsters. It's cool, it's funny, it's entertaining, but very inconsequential.
