Louie Appel passed away suddenly at age fifty-one on October 17, 2010, in Las Vegas, after performing a show with John Eddie. It appears he died peacefully in his sleep. I first heard about Louie when I found out he was playing with Debbie Gibson when she was all the rage and we were all quite young.
