Lotto Land is a 1995 American drama film starring Lawrence Gilliard Jr. and Wendell Holmes. [1] [2] Plot. The picture combines the storylines of two single-parent households in a poor, racially-diverse part of Brooklyn. The first story is about a young black man (with aspirations of getting away from his friends who are involved in drugs) who falls in love with a latino girl (who is heading off to college on a full scholarship).
When the winner of a lotto jackpot fails to come forward, the people in a Brooklyn, N.Y., neighborhood are swept into a frenzy over the missing ticket. Before the fever cools, they realize hitting the jackpot isn’t the only way to be a winner.
