Came across these three together one day at the local record store - wasn't familiar with him but I'm pretty sure he played with or knew Taj Mahal, who I'm a big fan of - anyways grabbed these, two original retail pressings and purple valley is a promo copy.

When I played it, that was the first time I heard Ry Cooder and knew it was him. To be honest, I didn’t like it much; however, it did put him on my radar.
