Originally released as a double-vinyl album, and double-play cassette, it utilises recordings made in 1978 and 1980. The album charted at number 5 on the UK Albums Chart with Platinum certification, and number 146 on the Billboard 200.
Live...in the Heart of the City es el primer álbum en directo del grupo de hard rock Whitesnake, lanzado por United Artists en 1980. Editado como doble LP, recoge grabaciones realizadas en el Hammersmith Odeon de Londres, en 1980 (disco uno), y tomas grabadas en el mismo reducto londinense, pero en 1978 (disco 2).
Un playboy sobrado de carácter que ha triunfado en los siglos XX y XXI como lo hubiera hecho en cualquier otro momento de la historia. Actualmente cuenta con una banda sólida, y junto al bueno de Doug Aldrich sigue ofreciendo muy buenos discos.
