But now that the footage has been bought it turns out it was actually just a live show overdubbed with the studio recording, and based on the outfits and layout of the video it would seem it is from their stay at the Chesterfield Jazz Club on September 7th 1969, thankfully a full audience recording of this show exists.
Until that day not even those working for the band knew of this footage's existence, or the band ever doing an in-studio live film. Apparently this was a clip from a German TV show recorded in August 1969, likely in Wessex Studios which is where "In the Court of the Crimson King" was recorded.
