Little Village was an American/British rock band, formed in 1991 by Ry Cooder (guitar, vocal), John Hiatt (guitar, piano, vocal), Nick Lowe (bass, vocal) and Jim Keltner (drums). Each of the group's members had previously worked on Hiatt's 1987 album Bring The Family, and formed in 1991 while on a break from their own musical projects.

Little Village, or La Villita, is located on the southwest side of Chicago and roughly shares the boundaries of the Chicago Community Area of South Lawndale. In 1869, Chicago annexed the area that was to become Lawndale from Cicero Township.
Little Village is home to DULCELANDIA, the largest retail and wholesale distributor of Mexican candy in the Midwest, servicing the entire nation. Wander down one of the busiest shopping districts in Chicago on 26th Street. Take your time exploring this two-mile stretch that’s home to almost 500 businesses.
