Lita fue integrante de la banda femenina The Runaways a los 16 años, siendo la guitarrista principal. Al disolverse el grupo en 1979 inició su carrera en solitario. Su álbum debut, titulado Out for Blood, fue lanzado en 1983 y fue un fracaso comercial.
Lita Rossana Ford (born September 19, 1958) is an American guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter. She was the lead guitarist for the all-female rock band the Runaways in the late 1970s, and then embarked on a successful glam metal solo career that hit its peak in the late 1980s.
Lita is the third solo studio album by the American glam metal singer and guitarist Lita Ford. Released in February 1988, it was her first for RCA Records and her first published with the supervision of new manager Sharon Osbourne.

Lita es el tercer álbum de estudio de la cantante estadounidense Lita Ford. Fue lanzado en 1988 por RCA Records y supervisado por su nueva mánager, Sharon Osbourne. Alcanzó el puesto No. 29 en la lista Billboard 200, 2 y produjo los sencillos « Close My Eyes Forever » (dueto con Ozzy Osbourne) y « Kiss Me Deadly ».

Hard-Rock muy suavecito, con quizá demasiado protagonismo de teclados, con aires de pop ochentas y algunas buenas ayudas en composición e interpretación.
