Lionel Brockman Richie, Jr. (né le 20 juin 1949 à Tuskegee, en Alabama) est un chanteur et musicien américain. Il a connu la célébrité dans les années 1970 en tant qu'auteur-compositeur et co-chanteur principal du groupe Commodores du label Motown ; écrivant et enregistrant les succès Easy , Sail On , Three Times a Lady et Still , avec le groupe avant son départ.

Lionel Richie, född 20 juni 1949 i Tuskegee, Alabama, är en amerikansk soul- och R&B-sångare, låtskrivare, skådespelare och skivproducent.Från och med 1968 var han medlem i funk- och soulbandet Commodores och lanserade sedan en solokarriär 1982. Han skrev 1985 välgörenhetssingeln "We Are the World" tillsammans med Michael Jackson, vilken såldes i över 20 miljoner exemplar.
