But they produced this sound a good ten years before it 'went to the mall'. And worht noting is their late 70s/early 80s avant-gaurde sound isn't dated, like say The Psychedellic Furs.

In the UK, until the release of "Waiting for a Train" in 1983 they had been a one-hit wonder, which was coincidental as the expression, 'Flash in the pan', denotes something which is only briefly popular. Das zweite Album Lights in the Night, das bereits 1980 folgte, brachte zwar einige kleinere, aber wenig nachhaltige Erfolge. Dafür war die Band im Radio und dank besonders inszenierter Videos in der Hochzeit des Musikfernsehens auch bei MTV und anderen Sendern populär.
This German pressing is better than the Scandinavian one. Less sibilance, better tonal balance. Music is a mixed bag, but “Lights in the night” is a true magic moment.
