Eric "Roscoe" Ambel (born August 20, 1957) is an American guitarist and record producer. He has worked with a wide range of artists including Nils Lofgren, Steve Earle, the Yayhoos, Del Lords, The Bottle Rockets, Joan Jett, Mojo Nixon, Blood Oranges, Blue Mountain, Freedy Johnston and Mary Lee's Corvette.
BIO. To call Eric Ambel “The Godfather of Americana” would be doing Ambel a disservice, as his career as a singer/guitarist/songwriter/producer stretches beyond the boundaries of even that seemingly all-encompassing genre.
Charlie Sexton, Peter Holsapple, Nils Lofgren, Eric Ambel, Kelly Willis, Jimmy LaFave, Michael Fracasso, Susan Cowsill and John Gorka are among those who joined regulars Vince Santoro (drums) and Wade Matthews (bass) to assemble this solid collection.

Eric Ambel released You Asked For It: The Shut In Singles Series on Lakeside Lounge Records May 20, 2022. The release is accompanied by a video for Ambel’s interpretation of “Honky Tonk Women” .
