Grantham in 2005. Leslie Grantham (30 April 1947 – 15 June 2018) was a British actor and convicted murderer. He was born in Camberwell, London. In 1962, he joined the British Army. In 1966, whilst stationed in Osnabrueck, Germany, he shot a taxi driver dead whilst trying to rob him.

A British actor best known for his role as ‘Dirty’ Den Watts on Eastenders (1985-1989, 2003-2005), Grantham was central to one of British televisions most-watched moments when Den served his wife Angie with divorce papers on Christmas Day, 1986.
