Kenneth Gamble (born August 11, 1943, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and Leon A. Huff (born April 8, 1942, Camden, New Jersey) are an American songwriting and production team credited for developing the Philadelphia soul music genre (also known as Philly sound) of the 1970s.

26 de mar. de 2013 · Leon Huff is a R&B record company owner and producer who co-founded Philadelphia International Records with Kenny Gamble. He has worked with artists like The O'Jays, Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes, and Lou Rawls. He was inducted into the Philadelphia Music Foundation's Walk of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Along with his partner, Kenneth Gamble, Leon Huff wrote or co-wrote over 3,000 songs in 35 years, including RandB #1 hits, pop #1 hits, gold and platinum records, Grammy winners and BMI songwriters’ awards honorees.
