The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute® is one cohesive school, founded by Lee Strasberg with the same educational mission and the same high standard of actor training. Both campuses teach Lee Strasberg’s Method in its purest form and offer the same core classes. Elective classes, however, will vary at each campus and are subject to change.
Patrick Bonavitacola received his training as an actor at The Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute from Lee Strasberg. Lee invited him to become part of The Actors Studio community in 1979, and he has been associated with The Studio for more than 35 years now—first as an actor, and for the last 15 years as a member of the Playwright/Directors Unit.

The curriculum at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute, designed by Lee, provides the actor with opportunities to pursue his or her work systematically and to gain firsthand knowledge of the fundamental concepts of the Lee Strasberg Method Acting Technique. Through class work, seminars, exercises, scene work, and discussions, students are encouraged to develop of their art and themselves.

METHOD ACTING. At the core of the Strasberg curriculum are the Method Acting classes. Students are required to take two Method Acting classes per 10- or 12-week term, each with a different teacher. These classes are designed to train the actor in Lee Strasberg’s systematic approach to acting, known throughout the world as The Method.
