No. There is one whole tone part in the song (the very end of the song: D C Bb Ab F# E D, and a similar part just before the jam section), but most of it doesn't use the whole tone scale. The main riff is D - C - Bb - G major chords, and then F D C D as single notes in the end. It's essentially a pentatonic riff harmonized in major chords.
