Kristen Hall (born October 24, 1962) is an American folk rock singer-songwriter and a founding member of the country music group Sugarland. She had a solo career and released several albums, formed the country band Sugarland, and more recently has been involved in songwriting collaborations with Courtney Jaye. [1]

And just when Nettles and Bush moved on as a duo, scoring additional hits, Hall filed a federal lawsuit against them in 2008. She demanded to be paid one-third of Sugarland’s profits because of her role in creating their hit debut album – Hall actually co-wrote the group’s breakthrough debut single.

Sugarland is an American country music duo founded in Atlanta, Georgia. The duo consists of singer-songwriters Jennifer Nettles (lead vocals) and Kristian Bush (vocals, guitar, mandolin). They were founded in 2002, at which point Kristen Hall (vocals, guitar) was also a member.
