When news broke that Debbie Harry was working with Chic’s Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards for an album that would come in a sleeve styled by HR Giger, (who had recently designed Alien), the excitement was palpable. Would this be one of the greatest art-disco records ever?
Bernard Edwards is best known for his work with Disco/Funk group Chic, including the hits “Good Times”, “Le Freak”, “Everybody Dance” and “I Want Your Love”. He was also a prolific songwriter, producer and session player who worked with many of music’s top artists during his time.
