We serve the academic and pastoral needs of around 1,000 boys and girls from the age of 2 through to 18, with boarders from 7 years-old. King’s Ely is located in the beautiful and safe cathedral city of Ely, which is just 15 minutes from Cambridge and one hour from London’s airports, with direct rail links to both.
Welcome to King’s Ely; it is a remarkable school. People have been educated here, in the shadow of Ely Cathedral, for well over 1,000 years, which means we have had plenty of practice at doing our job. However, we are not about historic achievements or illustrious alumni but about children and young people because they are our future.

King’s Ely is located just 15 minutes north of Cambridge, one hour from London and is a short walk from Ely train station, with school. At King's Ely we serve the academic and pastoral needs of around 1,000 boys and girls from the age of two through to eighteen, with boarders from seven years old.
