Ken Curtis (born Curtis Wain Gates; July 2, 1916 – April 28, 1991) was an American actor and singer best known for his role as Festus Haggen on the western television series Gunsmoke. He appeared on Gunsmoke earlier in other roles (such as “Brisco” in S4E32’s “Change of Heart").
Ken Curtis (1916-1991) was a versatile performer who appeared in films, TV shows and musicals. He is best known for his role as Festus in Gunsmoke, and for his singing career with Tommy Dorsey orchestra.
Ken Curtis was an actor and singer who played Festus Hagen on Gunsmoke (1955). He also appeared in films with John Wayne and John Ford, and sang with Tommy Dorsey and the Sons of the Pioneers.
