Flowers were formed in Sydney in 1977 by Iva Davies (vocals, guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, oboe), a classically trained musician, and their main creative force; with bass player Keith Welsh.
30 de ene. de 2023 · Davies met Keith Welsh while working as a cleaner. Welsh was the son of Davies’ manager and he could play the bass, while Davies had privately been teaching himself the acoustic guitar. The two co-founded the band then known as Flowers in 1977.

10 de ene. de 2018 · Background. Icehouse formed in 1977 when multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Iva Davies teamed with bassist Keith Welsh. Davies was working part-time at a squash court owned by Welsh’s mom. Davies (b. Ivor Arthur Davies, May 22, 1955, Wauchope) had studied oboe and composition at the New South Wales Conservatorium of Music.
Keith Welsh. Keith began his career in the music industry as a founding member of Australian international success story ICEHOUSE. He has a Master of Dispute Resolution degree from the Law School of UTS in Sydney and is a fully qualified, certified and practicing Mediator and Facilitator.
