30 de mar. de 2024 · Posted on March 30, 2024. Keith “Keef” Hartley (8 April 1944 – 26 November 2011) was an English drummer and bandleader. He fronted his own band, known as the Keef Hartley Band or Keef Hartley’s Big Band, and played at Woodstock. He was later a member of Dog Soldier, and variously worked with Rory Storm, the Artwoods and John Mayall.

The electric guitar playing of Jimi Hendrix (a veteran of many American rhythm and blues and soul groups from the early-mid-1960s) and his power trios, the Jimi Hendrix Experience and Band of Gypsys, had a broad and lasting influence on the development of blues rock, especially for guitarists.

Junior made a significant contribution as a writer,singer and lead guitarist to their acclaimed "Seventy Second Brave" Album, and also appeared on the follow-up release, "Lancashire Hustler".

9 de abr. de 2024 · Thain joined the Keef Hartley Band and, in 1971, they toured with Uriah Heep; they asked him to join them (replacingMark Clarke) in February 1972, and he stayed in the band until February 1975. He played on four studio albums: Demons & Wizards , The Magician's Birthday , Sweet Freedom and Wonderworld as well as their live album, titled Uriah Heep Live .
