Kate St John (born October 2, 1957) is an English composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist. Career. Classically trained on oboe, St John's first band was Ravishing Beauties with Virginia Astley and Nicky Holland.

Kate St. John. Welcome to my website. I am a composer, arranger, music director and instrumentalist (oboe, cor anglais, accordion, saxophone and piano). I was a member of The Ravishing Beauties, The Dream Academy and Channel Light Vessel and I have recorded two solo albums: Indescribable Night and Second Sight.

Her 1997 sophomore solo effort, Second Sight, is now available on 180-gram vinyl and hi-def FLAC. It finds St. John immersed in passionate art songs influenced by French chanson and clad in tasteful chamber pop.
