Kara Wai Ying-hung BBS ( simplified Chinese: 惠英红; traditional Chinese: 惠英紅; born 3 February 1960) [citation needed] is a Hong Kong actress best known internationally for her roles in wuxia films produced by the Shaw Brothers Studio in the 1970s and 1980s. Wai has since portrayed a wide range of roles on screen and on television with much success.

Hui Ying Hung (English name: Kara) is a Hong Kong-based Chinese actress of Manchu descent. Known in the West primarily by her kung-fu fighting roles in Shaw Brothers Studio films in the 1970s and 1980s, she had since portrayed more serious roles with great success, and she is the first winner of the Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actress in 1982.
