Kandahar (Kandahār) escrito a veces como Qandahar (pashto: کندهار, persa: قندهار) es una ciudad de Afganistán, capital de la provincia de Kandahar. En 2002 la provincia tenía 886 000 habitantes, de los cuales vivían en la capital unos 316 000.
Kandahar is one of the most culturally significant cities of the Pashtuns and has been their traditional seat of power for more than 300 years. It is a major trading center for sheep, wool, cotton, silk, felt, food grains, fresh and dried fruit, and tobacco.

Kandahār ( Pashto: کندهار; Kandahār, Dari: قندهار; Qandahār) is one of the thirty-four provinces of Afghanistan, located in the southern part of the country, sharing a border with Pakistan, to the south. It is surrounded by Helmand in the west, Uruzgan in the north and Zabul Province in the east.
