The pattern is always there, even if you can not see it” – Bey Lamfrey This echoes on my mind as I start my reflection paper on “K’na The Dreamweaver”. I would like to look beyond the story, of how it developed.
K´na is a princess of the people of the Tboli who live in the South-West of Mindanao (Philippines). The plot is about the princess becoming a dreamweaver and her education. Her tribe ist fighting with another tribe and it´s the princess´s job to make peace. The scenes and dialogues are pretty static, which I didn´t like so much.
K’na the Dreamweaver is the first feature film about the T’boli people of South Cotabato, Mindanao and the first film in the T’boli language. Plays in.
