Davies later said of his first book that "all the things that mattered were missing". Davies worked on Just Ignore Him while pursuing a part-time MA in creative writing at Goldsmiths, University of London.

  3. 1 de sept. de 2020 · Having bought Just Ignore Him with no prior knowledge of its contents, just my misguided assumptions, I was disturbed by its grim contents. It's very honest, well written, beautifully observed, evocative of the 1960s and 1970s, and doubtless was cathartic to write, it's also, rightly, a very tough book.
