JUST GOT LUCKY was recorded in France in 1973 (3 songs in 1977) during a period of years when "Gate" was basically ignored in his own country. Gatemouth redoes four songs from the early "Peacock" years ("Sad Hour" is bluesy), gradually moving ahead to five songs Brown wrote himself, all done most superbly, indeed, including the only song ("Someday") where Gate displays his violin expertise.
