WELLS. JUNIOR. (1934-1998) Amos Blackmore Wells naît à Memphis, dans le Tennessee, le 9 décembre 1934. À peine âgé de dix ans, Junior Wells joue de l' harmonica dans les rues de sa ville natale, à l'instar de son idole, John Lee « Sonny Boy » Williamson, qu'il rencontre lorsqu'il s'installe à Chicago en 1946.
Amazingly, Junior Wells kept at precisely this sort of thing for over 40 years -- he was an active performer from the dawn of the 1950s to his death in the late '90s. Born in Memphis, Wells learned his earliest harp licks from another future legend, Little Junior Parker , before he came to Chicago at age 12.
