Otrzymała od losu nie tylko urodę i aktorskie umiejętności, ale i przepiękną barwę głosu, którą można usłyszeć m.in. w słynnym filmie "Czarnoksiężnik z Oz". Debiutowała na ekranie w 1929 r., gdy miała zaledwie 7 lat. Niestety, uzdolniona dziewczynka nie zaznała zbyt wiele szczęścia.
